Netball
Well done to our super Under 8 and Under 9 netballers who took part in a friendly match against Withington. There was lots of fantastic netball on display, improvements made each quarter, and a lot of happy faces!
A special congratulations to Players of the Match Abby, Evie and Lucie, and to Coach's Players of the Match Layla and Sienna.
Congratulations to Lily in Year 6 for helping the Under 11s NW Panthers netball team win the Division 3 title in the Warrington Winter League. In doing so, she was also selected as Coach's Player of the Season. Well done, Lily!
Hockey
Well done to our Under 11 hockey team, who progressed to the plate quarter final in the recent AJIS tournament.
The girls endured some very cold conditions, but showed great skill and teamwork! We are very proud of you all.
Skiing
Penelope in Year 4 has been competing in Italy for The British Schools Alpine Championships.
Despite a nasty fall, she was determined to race and managed to complete the course, coming fourth place. She also secured first place in the National Schools Snowsports Association races in Llandudno.
A massive well done, Penelope, we are all incredibly proud of you!
Dance
Charlotte in Year 6 had a great time recently at her dance school's annual dance show. At the end of the show, Charlotte was awarded Most Improved Junior Dancer at Coral Leigh Dance Academy. Her principal said Charlotte has worked so hard and is truly deserving of the award.
Senior School
Netball
Well done to our super Under 13 netball team, who played at the Sisters n Sport Quarter Final and secured a win in a well-constructed match against Abbey Gate College, finishing 24-17.
There was some fantastic netball on display and we're very proud of all who took part.
A special well done to Ava, who received Coach's Player of the Match, and Clemmie, who received Player of the Match and Coach's Players of the Match.
Our Under 13 netball team also performed exceptionally well at the Chester and District netball championship, coming first and retaining their title.
The girls demonstrated some fantastic team performances, and only conceded four goals in the five matches played!
Congratulations as well to our Year 7 netballers, who were crowned winners at the Chester and District tournament. It was a close competition that came down to goal difference.
Well done to everyone for their fantastic teamwork, determination and performances!
Shooting
The Queen's School Pistol team had a great day at the British Shooting Schools Championship recently. Having successfully made it through the qualifying event last November, this was a first time for Queen's to be represented at the competition.
All three girls gave it their best and came fifth as a team, with two points away from scoring the bronze medal. Well done girls, keep up the good work!
Tennis
Congratulations to Zara in Year 8, who recently had great success at her first U16 Girls Singles at Wellington, Somerset, with first place and a gold medal!
Zara has been working hard all winter on her serve, and won many points with her aces. She demonstrated some good, strategic play throughout and enjoyed playing against some new competitors. Well done, Zara!
Football
Well done to Aster in Year 11, who recently made her National League Premier Division debut for Bowdon HC, against English champions East Grinstead.
The teams included several past and present England and GB international players. We're so proud of you, Aster!
Equestrian
Congratulations to Sophie in Year 9, who was recently selected for the Wales and Borders Tetrathlon Team and will perform at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in May.
Sophie will have the chance to run, swim, shoot and ride while competing against some of the best junior tetrathletes in the country. Good luck, Sophie!
Volleyball
Millie and Magenta in Year 9 had an exciting time at Volleyball England's U14 Girls Grand Prix. They travelled to Wirral Grammar School for Girls where they played for the Wirral Volleyball team. The girls performed exceptionally well and can't wait for their next match. Well done, girls!
