I feel very lucky. As well as gorgeous buildings and grounds, we can walk to a theatre or see live music performances. We are surrounded by art galleries and are minutes from the river.

Our Sixth Form can be found next to the main school on the historic city walls overlooking Chester Racecourse. When students are not studying, they are able to relax in the Sixth Form block, which contains two cozy common rooms, kitchen facilities, study rooms and classrooms with a library on the ground floor.
Both the Year 12 and 13 common rooms have sofas, coffee tables and dining areas. At lunchtime, girls can either eat in the main school, take out a meal from the dining room or pop into the city centre where dozens of cafés and coffee shops are less than a five-minute walk away. Although there is no uniform, students are expected to dress smartly to represent the school.
Many Sixth Formers like to take advantage of being in the city centre with a run around the city walls at lunchtime. Others choose to make use of our own fitness suite and sports facilities to have a workout or try new sports which are on offer through our co-curricular programme.
Our location means that our students do not normally have to rely on parents to get to and from school. Chester Bus Station is only a few minutes’ walk and the train station is also nearby. The school also has excellent links to Wirral, Warrington, North Wales and the Cheshire villages via school buses.
