At Queen’s every girl is valued for her contribution in each and every area of school life. Girls are encouraged to take responsibility and there are plentiful opportunities to work as part of a team and in a leadership role.
Education is so much more than those things which happen in the classroom, and our diverse range of clubs and societies give girls the opportunities to work together, to lead and to develop their life-skills.
From Head Girl and prefect duties to lunchtime academic and creative clubs and sports leadership opportunities, all of our positions of responsibility enable girls to develop their own style of leadership and learn the most effective ways for them to achieve results. Pupil-led committees enable girls to take their first steps towards developing their teamworking skills, empowering and moulding them as future citizens. A peer mentoring programme provides younger girls with mentors and older girls with roles of responsibility.
Our focus on healthy living, mutual respect, integrity and resilience are key to the ethos of the school and enable our pupils to succeed and thrive.
There exists at Queen’s an atmosphere of supportive enterprise, and we work hard to create this warm, welcoming environment and to ensure that all girls feel they are valued and respected members of our community.
