Spanish scholars recently returned from a very successful trip to the Salamanca region of Spain. All the girls immersed themselves into the way of life, speaking the language, engaging in lessons, making new friends and enjoying different meals times and food.
During their time away from lessons in the afternoons and weekends, the girls got involved in a wide range of activities in the sunshine, enjoying Salamanca's safe environment, particularly the lovely shops.
There were lots of highlights; salsa dancing, cooking Spanish omelette, eating chocolate con churros, visiting Barrio del Oeste and admiring the graffiti work plus going to the cinema to watch 'A Star is Born' in Spanish and meeting Queen Sofia of Spain for the older students.
The girls were outstanding ambassadors for the school and their language skills, along with their cultural understanding of Spain, have most definitely developed.
