A group of 36 enthusiastic singers from Year 5 and 6 went to Storyhouse to join with 12 other Chester schools in an afternoon rehearsal and evening performance called AmaSing.
The girls had been practising the songs in some music lessons and they added dance moves put together by House of Dance. The whole event was a fun, energetic celebration of singing, with dance performances in between from both House of Dance and the Hammond school.
It also celebrated a link between AmaSing, MacMillan, and Chester Zoo. This is the first event of its kind and the organisers hope that it will become a regular event in Storyhouse's calendar.
