The incredible Hannah Gold, renowned for her acclaimed book 'The Last Bear', captivated our Junior and Year 7 pupils recently during an engaging session centered around her new story, 'Turtle Moon'.
The award-winning author mesmerised the audience with her storytelling prowess and imparted valuable insights into her creative process and the environmental themes woven into her work.
The session sparked curiosity and enthusiasm among the girls, who were particularly fascinated to learn quirky facts, such as how turtles breathe through their bums—a revelation that drew both laughter and awe!
Reflecting on the visit, Head of English at the Lower School, Alison Bradshaw expressed gratitude for the opportunity to host such a talented writer. She said "Hannah Gold's visit not only enriched the girls' understanding of storytelling but also inspired them with important environmental messages. We love hosting sessions like this as they are a fantastic way to keep our pupils excited about literature and learning.”
