Eleanor in Year 12 has been awarded the coveted Arkwright Engineering Scholarship as part of a drive to inspire future leaders in engineering.
She picked up her scholarship in Edinburgh earlier in November and has already made good use of the opportunities by attending a workshop at the Natural History Museum in London on the use of Microscopy in Engineering.
Those honoured were handpicked from 1,600 hopefuls who applied for the scholarship in 2018 following a rigorous selection process, which assesses their academic, practical and leadership skills in engineering disciplines.
As part of the scholarship, students gain access to a range of enrichment experiences such as conferences, Connect Days, mentoring, residential courses and university VIP days. Well done Eleanor!
