Students in Years 10 and 12 had the chance to explore exciting study options overseas at the second Queen's School International Universities Fair.
The event hosted stands from a range of international institutions based as far apart as Canada, USA, Spain and Switzerland. Girls were encouraged to find out about the wide range of university courses, as well as the very different - and often more flexible - degree structures on offer. They also had the chance to find out about funding support through the many scholarships available when studying overseas.
Run in cooperation with overseas university link company 'The University Guys', the event included a talk by consultant Tom Whittaker, who explained the impact of his own studies, which took place in America, on his later career.
"There is no doubt that having international university experience made me stand out a lot when I was applying for posts back in the UK. Studying overseas enhanced a lot of personal qualities and give you skills which mark you out compared to others."
The event was part of a dedicated programme of university application support events run weekly for Year 12 students throughout the summer term.
