At the Whitworth the students were given the chance to see Elizabeth Price’s piece “A long memory” which brought together many new and acclaimed works, the exhibition engaged with Price’s pre-occupations of technology, history, politics and pop music.
At Manchester Art Gallery students got the chance to see the permanent collection with many wonderful Pre-Raphaelite paintings and also the contemporary paintings of Louise Giovanelli whose new work was shown alongside rarely-seen early Renaissance panel paintings from the galleries collection, as well as a selection of contemporary works by Victor Man and Mark Manders.
