Year 10 took part in an interactive performance and workshop called 'Risking it all' from 2Engage Performing Arts.
Performed by local actors and based on research with young people in the North West, 'Risking it all' is a hard hitting piece of theatre that considers the stories of young people impacted by a number of issues: e-safety, substance and alcohol misuse, sex exploitation and inappropriate relationships.
The theatrical presentation highlighted both the risks and direct consequences the young people faced. During the performance our Year 10s were asked to engage in mid-show discussion. This allowed them to decide the fate of the characters and what consequences they will face.
The 'Risking it all' team were impressed with how perceptive and empathetic our girls were to the issues facing the characters, and the sensible, thoughtful advice they offered the characters in the difficult situations they faced.
