Inspiration from Liverpool galleries

Year 10 and 11 GCSE art students went on a trip to Liverpool to visit the Tate Gallery and the Walker Art Gallery.

Year 11 have just begun their exam preparation and the trip provided an opportunity to make connections to the way in which other artists work with this year’s theme of ‘Reflections’.

For the Year 10 who have embarked upon the theme of ‘Autobiography’ this visit was also extremely useful for collecting ideas and inspiration.

At the Tate the students were given the chance to see the new Fernand Léger exhibition and at the Walker Art Gallery many students enjoyed seeing the past winners of the John Moores competition while others enjoyed a little dressing up!!
