An inspirational insight into science

Year 12 and 13 Physics students have recently returned from Geneva on a visit to CERN, home of the Large Hadron Collider - the world’s largest particle accelerator.

They saw up close the sites where many of the most important discoveries in particle physics have been made, and expanded their knowledge of this exciting field of physics through a range of engaging tours, talks and exhibitions.

The visit also enabled them to experience first-hand what working in a community of 6000+ scientists from more than 80 countries would be like - truly inspirational!
