The creativity and collaboration of all the Lower School girls impressed and shone through during our Inter-House Enterprise Competition.
The Christmas themed challenge pitted the girls against each other in their House groups to design and make a Christmas product to be sold at our Christmas market. The House that made the most money would be crowned Queen’s Enterprise Champions, with all profits donated to The Countess of Chester Blue Skies Appeal, our Lower School Christmas charity for 2021.
Our Infants created wonderful Christmas art and tasty treats. It was a great opportunity for the children to learn alongside each other at a range of activities, some of which required much concentration and perseverance! The experience really brought out the girls’ best attributes and the teachers were very proud of the great work ethic displayed throughout.
The Juniors were split into eight teams and Year 6 were assigned roles: Team Leader, Financial Director, Creative Director, Marketing Director and Manufacturing Director. Their challenge was to design and make a Christmas product to sell at our Christmas Market on Friday. The girls were given a budget and had to work together to research current products on the market before designing their own product and logo and purchasing materials. On the Friday they had to produce their products, marketing materials and decide on pricing.
The Christmas market was set up at the end of the day and the shopping began. A remarkable £165.60 was raised with all the Junior teams at least doubling their original £5 investment, with most teams making profits of £20+.
The winning team and House will be announced in our end of term assembly on Wednesday.
Well done to all the girls, we certainly spotted some CEO's of the future!
