Following close on the heels of Storm Hannah, our inaugural ‘Beach Clean’ arrived on a cloudy, but mercifully calmer day.
I was slightly anxious that we wouldn’t find anything, because on the face of it, West Kirby appears pretty pristine, but our eagle eyed scouts managed to end up finding two bags of rubbish.
It was a real eye-opener to see the variety of litter that was discovered, and it felt good to know that we had all contributed in a small way to making a difference, whilst getting exercise and fresh air at the same time. A winning combination!
A very heartfelt vote of thanks to all our participants … an outstanding total of 52!
