All the Lower School girls impressed with their creativity and collaboration during our Inter-House Enterprise Competition in the last week of term.
The Christmas themed challenge pitted the girls against each other in their House groups to design and make a Christmas product to be sold at our Christmas market. The House who made the most money was crowned Queen’s Enterprise Champions with all profits donated to Save the Children, our Christmas charity for 2019.
Our Infants created wonderful Christmas art and tasty treats. It was a great opportunity for the children to learn alongside each other at a range of activities, some of which required much concentration and perseverance! The experience really brought out the girls’ best attributes and the teachers were very proud of the great work ethic displayed throughout.
The Juniors were split into eight teams and assigned roles: Team Leader, Financial Director, Creative Director, Marketing Director and Manufacturing Director. Their challenge was to design and make a Christmas product to sell at our Christmas Market on Wednesday. The girls were given a budget and had to work together to research current products on the market before designing their own product and logo and purchasing materials. On the Tuesday they had to produce their products, marketing materials and decide on pricing.
All the girls came together on the Wednesday to set up the Christmas market and the shopping began. A remarkable £297.53 was raised with all of the Junior teams at least doubling their original £5 investment, with most teams making profits of £20+.
A huge well done to the winning Junior team ‘Dragon’s Sleigh’ with a total income of £43. The House results were:
1st Place | Dragons |
2nd Place | Unicorns |
3rd Place | Phoenix |
4th Place | Griffins |
Well done to all the girls, we certainly spotted some CEO's of the future!
