We could not have asked for better weather for our Lower School Sports Day and the girls were eager and excited to get underway with the races they had been working incredibly hard for over the last few weeks.
The Infants kicked things off in the morning taking part in running, hurdles, team relay and skills races. Phoenix were crowned the winning House overall and it was lovely to see all the girls give 100%!
In the afternoon it was the Juniors turn to compete in a range of events including sprint, 600m, long jump, skipping, hurdles, tennis racket relay, slalom relay, rounders ball throw and standing netball throw.
A thrilling afternoon of friendly competitive fun with Unicorns crowned the winners of the House trophy and Emily in Year 6 the winner of the Victrix Ludorum Cup, with Aster 2nd and Lucy 3rd. This is awarded to the girl who scores the most points over five events (60m sprint, hurdles, 600m, rounder’s ball throw and long jump).
A huge well done to everyone who took part!
