We are excited to launch ‘The Queen’s Institute’ for Year 11 students (boys and girls) aiming for a grade 8 or above in their GCSEs this summer.
The intensive revision sessions will focus on exam preparation, with teachers removing the unnecessary sections of each subject to focus solely on the core, examinable material, so that students’ exam performance can improve.
Deputy Head of The Queen’s School Mrs Keville said: “With a long-established history of our pupils attaining the top grades in examinations at GCSE and A-level, we want to share our strength as an institution with others in our community, and have kept the costs as low as we can in order to be able to do this.
“These intensive revision sessions are aimed at Year 11 boys and girls with a focus and commitment to succeed. The sessions are for those who are aiming for a grade 8 or above in the subject as they are designed to meet the needs of learners working at that level.”
Students who enrol on these courses will receive:
- Expert tuition in each course from dedicated and experienced Queen’s School teachers.
- Comprehensive course notes covering all key knowledge and skills required to achieve top grades.
- Focused examination practice and examination technique.
Students will experience interactive classes on-site at the Senior School where they can interact with teachers and ask questions. The sessions will run from Monday 3rd to Thursday 6th April and students can choose from 1-6 subjects, with tuition fees discounted the more courses attended. Pupils can book any combination of subjects:
- Mathematics
- English Language and Literature
- Spanish
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Physics
Deadline to apply is Friday 17th February.
