The talent of the girls was on full display in the school production of ‘Red Red Shoes’ by Charles Way.
Opening night was Wednesday 12 February with another performance on Thursday 13 February, both of which showcased the hard work and dedication of the cast and crew who had worked so hard to bring the show to stage.
The play tells the story of Franvera who lives in a country ‘so very near so very far away’ who on her birthday is given a pair of red dancing shoes. When her country collapses into war and ethnic cleansing the shoes become both her link with her old life and also a symbol of the trauma she suffers.
A wonderful production! Thought-provoking, harrowing in part but a beautiful production, superbly directed and supported by the technical team and a real credit to the girls’ work and commitment. Congratulations to all involved.
