An important milestone in their academic journey – pupils at The Queen’s School celebrate another year of superb GCSE results.
A true reflection of their hard work and resilience, our girls secured fantastic grades as they look forward to embarking on their A-level studies in September.
76% of the girls secured at least one of the highest 9/8 grades and over half of all the girls (52%) achieved seven or more 9-7 grades.
Almost 30% of girls were delighted to achieve ALL their grades at 9-7.
Headmistress Joanne Keville said: “Results Day at Queen’s is more than just a celebration of grades, it’s a testament to the dedication, diligence, and determination our pupils have demonstrated throughout their academic journey.
“I am incredibly proud of our Year 11 girls and their achievements - seeing their hard work come to fruition is so rewarding to us as teachers. These impressive results are a testament to the excellent education and supportive environment at Queen’s, where the value added as a result of our small class sizes and personalised approach to learning really makes a difference.
“Our all-girls environment is just one aspect that makes Queen’s unique and a place where every pupil feels empowered to excel without limitations. This nurturing setting allows our girls to thrive academically and develop confidence in their abilities, free from gender stereotypes. With specialist teachers in every subject, we ensure that each girl receives expert guidance tailored to her unique strengths and aspirations and I want to thank all our amazing staff for their continued commitment to the girls’ achievements. “
There was impressive success across a variety of departments with 13 subjects (Art, Biology, Chemistry, DT, English Language, Geography, History, Latin, Mandarin, PE, Physics, RE, Spanish) achieving 80% or higher grades at 9-6.
Mrs Keville continued: “As the girls move on to their A-level studies, I am confident they will continue to build on this strong foundation and achieve even greater success. I look forward to welcoming them back to Queen’s in Year 12 where they will get to experience the freedom and independence of sixth form life while maintaining the personalised support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.”
