Lower School
Athletics
On Monday, girls from Years 3-6 participated in the Chester Athletics competition across a range of disciplines. All girls performed brilliantly, demonstrating talent, teamwork and resilience!
After only taking part in half of the events, due to all other teams being mixed boys and girls, our team were crowned winners of the whole competition - earning the most points out of all 26 schools!
This is a huge moment for Queen's and we are beyond proud of every girl who took part and this phenomenal achievement.
Swimming
Last weekend our Year 6 swim team (Emily, Imogen, Isla, Mala and Minnie) travelled to the Ponds Forge International Swimming Centre in Sheffield for the ESSA National Finals.
Following a parade of team captains and the national anthem, the girls swam in the medley relay heats and the B finals, gaining 16th position overall. They then swam in the freestyle relay and came 20th overall.
A huge well done to the girls for keeping their nerve in such a prestigious event, with a very high poolside to contend with for their diving starts!
Equestrian
Last weekend, Millie in Year 6 competed at the Bolesworth International 2023 in the Mini Major. Performing in the main arena and in front of a big crowd, this was a dream come true for Millie and she had an amazing experience. She even dressed up as Minnie Mouse to suit this year's Disney fancy dress theme.
Following her qualifying at Kelsall Hill earlier this year, Millie is looking forward to competing at Hickstead in August at the NSEA Grass Roots Showjumping Championships Festival, representing Queen's. Best of luck, Millie!

Rounders
A fantastic effort from our super U12s who competed in the Chester and District Rounders Competition. It was a very close final but the girls managed to secure the win. Well done, girls!
Athletics
There were some unbelievable performances at the Cheshire Athletic Championships held in Macclesfield. Congratulations to Clemmie, Alice and Lauren in Year 7 who were all crowned Cheshire Champions. Well done also to Megan's 2nd place and Olivia on reaching the finals. Amazing achievements!
Netball
Year 7 Queen's girls Ava, Daisy and Skye enjoyed a fun packed netball weekend with their netball club as NW Panthers dominated both days of the Y7/Y8 group at Condover June 2023 by winning gold and silver medals.
Both teams beat some tough competition to rise through the ranks with Ava’s team winning the tournament and Daisy’s and Skye’s team taking the runners up position.
All the girls played well despite the hot weather, especially Daisy who was awarded Coach’s player of the tournament. Well done girls!
Gymnastics
Ava in Year 7 recently took part in the Hannah Whelan Invitational Gymnastics Competition. She was awarded the Judge's Award for Amazing Artistry for her floor routine. Very well done, Ava!
