Netball
We are beyond proud of our U12 netball girls who won 32-17 vs King Edward VI School and have qualified for the Semi Finals of the Sisters n Sport Plate. They showed fantastic play through court, super shooting and brilliant team work!
Well done to our superstar Year 8s who finished second place in the Packwood netball tournament - narrowly missing out on the win with a 5-3 loss in the final. Brilliant play and attitudes from all players!
Our U12, U13 and U14 netball players had an amazing day at the Cheshire Schools netball tournament recently. U12 and U14 teams competed in the cup semi-finals and played extremely well. There were great results from all teams and a great day of netball for Queen's.
Hockey
Our U14 hockey team recently travelled to Abbey Gate College for a Chester & District hockey tournament.
It was the first time many of them played 11-a-side hockey and to come away in second place, losing out on first place by a goal difference, was very unlucky. Very well done, girls!
Rowing
Kate Longden and Jenny Lobato Jones in Year 10 represented Royal Chester Rowing Club during half term in the Head of Bridgewater, in Trafford. They achieved a gold medal in the 1km Women's Junior 14 Coxed Quad. A huge well done to Kate, Jenny and the rest of the quad!
Kirsten in Year 11, along with other members of a combined Chester/ Trafford quad, won the WJ16 Uncoxed Quad at the Regional Time Trials on the 5th March. As a result they will represent the North West at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham at the end of April, competing against the other 11 British Rowing Regions from across the UK. Great result and teamwork and good luck for April!
Biathlon
A huge well done to Sophie and Abby in Year 8 and 10, who competed at the National Schools Biathlon Championships last Sunday.
The competition was tough, but they both achieved personal bests, with Sophie coming 14th in her age group. Congratulations, girls!
Equestrian
Congratulations to Eva in Year 9 who qualified at the NSEA Dressage competition recently and won both her classes, and even qualified to compete at the Championships at Hickstead later this year. Well done, Eva!
