The remarkable talents of our girls were on full display during our annual Cabaret evenings at the Senior School.
Girls from Years 7 to 13 delivered a range of superb performances in music, drama and dance to a captivated audience across the two nights.
Celebrating the artistic excellence throughout the school, the event featured a myriad of outstanding performances. From the harmonious symphonies of the Junior and Senior Orchestra to the captivating Junior, Senior and Chamber Choir, String Ensemble, Jazz Band, Ukulele Group and Rock and Pop Group.
Parents also enjoyed fabulous vocal, piano and guitar performances, dynamic dance routines, and engaging drama acts, highlighting the depth of talent within the school community.
Mrs. Davies, Head of Music at The Queen’s School, said: "The Cabaret nights are a wonderful showcase of the talent and creativity that thrives at Queen’s, and it is heartwarming to see the confidence and performance skill of the girls grow through events like this.
“We are proud and honoured to support their talents and the success of these evenings are a testament to their hard work, dedication and resilience. Well done to all of the performers and helpers!"
There was a special surprise for Headmistress Sue Wallace-Woodroffe, ahead of her retirement this Easter. The Music Department wanted to give her a send off to remember, so organised a special performance from her favourite musical, West Side Story. With two gangs of Jets and Sharks, pupils performed the well-known ensemble piece ‘Tonight Quintet’.
