A sixth former hoping for a career in medicine was given an encouraging boost to her ambitions after scooping the top prize in a national medical quiz.
Natasha, who is in Year 12, won the Medic Mentor Christmas Quiz - and a £25 Amazon voucher - after answering a series of tough online multiple-choice questions testing her understanding of medical conditions and procedures.
"I do a lot with Medic Mentor - for example I am part of their book club and medical society and all this means doing a lot of wider reading. I think it was this that was key in helping me know many of the answers," said Natasha, who is studying Chemistry, Biology and DT at A-level.
"I have also done online work experience with Medic Mentor and have now applied for their leadership programme and it is all helping build my profile in advance of submitting an application later in the year."
Medic Mentor are a support organisation that provides information and opportunities for sixth form pupils wishing to train as a doctor.
