As part of their LCC studies, Year 5 pupils have been examining the destruction of the rainforests around the world.
They recently visited Chester Zoo for a hands-on workshop where they were able to examine objects which could be found in the rainforests.
The girls enjoyed visiting the Islands exhibits and travelled on the lazy river boat.
They also looked at the orangutans and heard about the work the zoo is doing to prevent their habitats being destroyed by the palm oil trade.
