Year 5 spent a fantastic week at Rhos y Gwaliau as they stepped out of their comfort zones and challenged themselves.
The first day of their trip saw the girls canoeing on Bala Lake, followed by an afternoon tackling via ferrata, which proved to be a test of both bravery and strength. They then returned to the lake to try out paddleboarding and sailing - getting very wet in the process!
The girls managed to escape the rain as they explored the stunning atmospheric underground slate mines, learning of its history and even trying out a bit of climbing inside the mountain. In the evening, they enjoyed reflecting on their trip and looking back over the activities that challenged them the most, including which ones they found the most fun.
The final morning saw pupils gorge walking, which ended with many of them being immersed in pools of water. The girls had a fabulous time, with many fears overcome and many achievements to tell their families.
